HOW TO APPLY FOR VIETNAM PASSPORT ONLINE ?

Currently, people only need to access the online public service portal of the Ministry of Public Security to apply for passports online without going to the place.

People only need to have a CCCD with a chip and meet some conditions to be able to make a passport online easily at home or anywhere.

What are the conditions to apply for a passport online?

The Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security said that the implementation of online registration for ordinary passport level 4 at the National Public Service Portal  http://dichvucong.gov.vn or the Public  Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security is http://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn applied to Vietnamese citizens in the country with citizen identity cards (CCCD) with electronic chips; Subscribers who register with a 12-digit CCCD (if using a 9-digit ID number to register, they must contact the network operator to update information); Ability to pay fees online via the Government’s electronic payment system.

Log in to the National Public Service Portal to apply for a passport online

According to the Immigration Department, people do not need to go directly to the immigration office to submit documents, but can apply for a passport online but must meet the above conditions.

How do I apply for a passport online?

Steps to apply for an ordinary passport on the national public service portal:

Step 1: Access dichvucong.gov.vn, then log in, or register for an account if you don’t have one.

Step 2: After logging in, select the Passport Issuance service and submit the application.

-Download 4×6 cm portraits with white background, front and back photos of CCCD (according to the instructions on the application screen)

– Enter full information into column items

– Registration of passport pickup place

– Download the required attachments (if any)

– In case the passport is valid, it must be submitted directly or sent by post to the immigration office to receive the application

– Pending approval

Steps to apply for a passport online

Step 3: Pay the fee online

After the application is accepted, the check-in person must pay the fee online at the link sent by the national public service portal via SMS or email.

Step 4: Return the result

The return of results at the request of previously registered citizens. Citizens can receive it directly at the immigration office or deliver it to their registered address.

Passport will be issued within 8 working days if checking in at local Immigration Offices, 5 working days if applying for passport at the Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security.

What about citizens who are not eligible to apply for a passport online?

According to the Immigration Department, if citizens are not eligible to use level 4 public services or need to apply directly, the current process of registration, receipt and processing of passport issuance documents shall apply.

Citizens are advised to complete the application form for an ordinary passport online  at home at http://hochieu.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn address and make an appointment to submit the application so that there is no long wait.

I accepted a nationwide passport for people 14 years old and older, with a Citizenship ID.
