Federal Republic of Germany

Germany, officially now known as the Federal Republic of Germany, is a country located in Central Europe and shares borders with Germany (to the north), Poland and the Czech Republic (to the east), Austria and Switzerland (to the south), France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands (to the west). Germany has the largest population in the European Union and the second largest immigrant population in the world.

Germany is famous for its diverse tourist routes, such as the Romantic Road, the Wine Route, the Citadel Road, the Two-Row Tree Road. The German Timber-framed House Road (Deutsche Fachwerkstraße) links the towns with such architectural patterns. Germany has 41 UNESCO World Heritage Sites as of 2016, including the ancient urban cores of Regensburg, Bamberg, Lübeck, Quedlinburg, Weimar, Stralsund and Wismar. The most visited landscapes in Germany include Neuschwanstein Castle, Cologne Cathedral, Berlin Bundestag, Hofbräu Munich, Heidelberg Castle, Zwinger Dresden, Berlin TV Tower and Aachen Cathedral. 1. General information about German visa

When visitors enter and exit Germany, foreign nationals are required to have a valid passport, or an alternative document other than the accompanying visa.

The issuance of German short-term visas (Schengen) is currently carried out according to the circumstances and according to the assessment for each individual case, with criteria such as the purpose of the trip and the intended time of return.

– Visa applicants must legally stay in Vietnam.

– German visa applications must be submitted as early as 3 months or at least 15 days before the intended date of travel.

– Applicants must submit their students in person at the Intake Center by appointment. The biological data (10 fingerprints and digital photo) is taken when applying for a visa.

– The application is considered based on the documents provided by the applicant (Incomplete documents may be refused a visa).

– When necessary, applicants may be invited to an interview and asked to provide additional documents.

– All documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by a notarized translation into German or English.

– All documents must be accompanied by translations and originals for comparison. The receiving department retains all documents during the review process. If you do not want to submit the original document to the Embassy, you can use a notarized copy consular legalized by the German Embassy instead.

– Documents and documents must be A4 paper size, documents by fax and e-mail are not accepted.

2. Basic procedures for issuing a German visa.

– Complete the German visa application form, print the application and sign it personally, provide 02 photos of 3.5×4.5cm white background (face area accounts for 80% of the photo area).

– Passport (must have at least 2 blank pages, not older than 10 years, validity is still at least three months from the expiry of the visa).

– Proof of transportation (book airfare, or other means).

– Travel, health and accident insurance (insurance of at least €30,000) for the Schengen area.

– Identity documents: ID card, household registration book, marriage registration, birth certificate of children, ID card of spouse and children

– Proof of employment documents.

+ Business owner, legal representative of the enterprise: Business registration, member confirmation, tax payment confirmation of the company…

+ Employees: Labor contracts, appointment decisions, personnel reception, salary confirmation, social insurance.

+ For students: Confirmation of the school’s learning.

+ For retirees: Documents proving pension rights.

+ For foreigners living and working in Vietnam: Work permit, legal stay visa.

– Financial proof documents: Passbook, bank account statement, balance confirmation.

– A statement confirming parental authority for minor applicants traveling without parents, accompanied by copies of ID cards, passports of both applicants.

3. Detailed procedures according to the purpose of entry into Germany.

* German Visa for Tourism purposes.

– Original Invitation to Guarantee:

+ From a tour company in Germany accompanied by legal documents of the tour company.

+ From 1 individual who is a citizen of Germany or a foreigner residing long-term in Germany: Provide the guarantor’s passport, accommodation facility; Provide documents proving employment, income, finance, personal account statements; Documents proving each relationship between the applicant and the sponsor. This invitation letter is issued by the German Foreign Service.

– Detailed itinerary for the duration of your stay in Germany and Schengen member states.

– Documents as proof of stay in Germany (book hotel).

– Proving the applicant’s bond in Vietnam: Red book, other income proof documents.

* German visa for Business purposes.

– Invitation letter from an organization or business in Germany, please ensure that it includes the inviting party’s details, the inviter’s details, personal identity details, the list of invitees, the inviting address, contact information, the length and purpose of stay and the relationship of that company (person) with the applicant,  The party paying the cost of the trip, the itinerary details the trip.

– Information about fairs and conferences to participate in (if any)

– The passport side of the person signing the invitation.

– Documents as proof of stay in Germany (book hotel).

– Business registration of the company in Vietnam, confirmation of tax payment.

– Account statement of the company in Vietnam in the last 6 months.

– Decide on the work of the company whose personnel are invited.

– Documents proving the commercial relationship between the 2 parties.

* German visa for visiting relatives.

– Original invitation, this invitation is issued by the German Foreign Service.

– Certificate of guarantee in the correct form and certified by the German agency (City Hall or Immigration Department)

– Proof of employment, income, finances, personal account statement, accommodation of the inviter.

– Documents proving the relationship: Birth certificate, Marriage registration certificate….

Document as proof of stay in Germany of the invitee (book hotel) – this document is not required if the inviter proves accommodation to invite the applicant.

– Proving the applicant’s bond in Vietnam: Red book, other income proof documents, birth certificate, ID card of relatives (dependents).

Conditions for applying for German visa for Vietnamese

✔ Have traveled to at least countries such as: Korea, Japan, France

✔ Have a travel invitation letter or letter of guarantee from an organization

✔ Have bank account transactions for at least 6 months

✔ Passbook in personal name at least VND 200,00,000, opened 6 months in advance.

In addition to the above, the German consulate has its own requirements for individuals. Therefore, the ability to issue German visas depends largely on the Embassy.

Visa procedures to Germany of all kinds

The time to apply for a German Visa is 15 days from the date the Consulate receives the application (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).

+ Personal bank account statement, original stamped bank.

+ The original invitation letter on paper with the logo of the inviting company with date, month, year, and details of the  invitee including: Full name, agency, time of trip and stay, reason and purpose of the trip, description of the business relationship between the two parties.

+ Copy business registration certificate, Tax 3 months – the director signs and stamps.

+ Information of the invited representative (full name, position, address, contact tel).

+ Documents proving the relationship between 2 companies: contracts, invoices, supply papers, customs declarations, and similar documents…

+ Decide to send a business trip to Vietnam.

+ Labor contract (If you are an employee, a copy with the company’s hanging seal)

+ Business owner: Business license, tax payment receipt for the last 3 months, bank confirmation … (notarized)

Application for a German visa for tourism

+ In case there is no kinship, it can be replaced with a written commitment of the inviter about the reason for the invitation, the purpose of the trip and the length of stay…

+ Guarantor:

– Invitation letter according to the form issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and certified by the Department of Overseas Affairs in the locality where the inviter lives. This document must present the original with a photocopy.

– Scanned passport

– Job confirmation

– Bank asset statement 3 months

+ Proof of work:

– Business owner: business license, tax payment receipt for the last 3 months if any (notarized)
