Italy or Italy, officially: The Republic of Italy is a unitary parliamentary republic in Europe. Italian territory extends to the central part of the Mediterranean, the two largest islands being Sicily and Sardinia. The Alps limit the northern continental part of Italy, forming land borders with France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia, while San Marino and the Vatican lie within the republic. Much of Italy has a temperate seasonal climate and the Mediterranean. Due to its territorial shape, Italy is often likened to the boot.

Italy is famous for its cultural and environmental tourism routes, and owns 53 World Heritage Sites as of 2017, ranking first globally. Milan is the sixth most visited city in Europe and 14th in the world, welcoming an average of 7.65 million international visitors in 2016; and the capital Rome ranked 8th and 16th respectively, with 7.12 million international visitors. In addition, Venice and Florence are also in the top 100 destinations in the world. The most visited landscapes in Italy are the Colosseum and Roman Square, Pompeii, the Uffizi Exhibition Museum, the Academy of Florence Exhibition Museum, Castel Sant’Angelo, Boboli Park, Venaria Reale, the Egyptian Museum of Turin, the Borghese Exhibition Hall, the Royal Palace of Caserta, the Cenacolo Vinciano Museum,  Villa d’Este, Pitti Palace, Excavation sites at Herculaneum, National Archaeological Museum of Naples, Leaning Tower of Pisa.

1. General information about Italy visa.

When visitors enter and exit Italy, foreign nationals are required to have a valid passport, or a replacement document other than the accompanying visa.

The issuance of a short-term Italian visa (Schengen) or an Italian national visa is currently carried out according to the circumstances and according to the assessment of each individual case, with criteria such as the purpose of the trip and the intended time of return.

– Italian visa applicants must legally stay in Vietnam.

– Visa applications must be submitted as early as 3 months or at least 15 days before the intended date of travel.

– Applicants must submit their students in person at the Intake Center by appointment. The biological data (10 fingerprints and digital photo) is taken when applying for a visa.

– The application is considered based on the documents provided by the applicant (Incomplete documents may be refused a visa).

When necessary, Italian visa applicants may be invited to an interview and asked to provide additional documents.

– All documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by a notarized translation into Italian or English.

– All documents must be accompanied by originals for comparison.

– Documents and documents must be A4 paper size, documents by fax and e-mail are not accepted.

– Depending on the place of permanent residence registration or company business registration place (for business type visa), the applicant must submit an Italian application in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh according to regulations, with different application procedures.

– Some documents will be required to legalize consular certification at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

2. Basic procedures for issuing an Italian visa.

– Complete the Italian visa application form, print the application and sign it personally, provide 02 photos (4×6 or 4×4) white background (face area accounts for 80% of the photo area).

– Passport (with at least 2 blank pages, issued within 10 years, valid for at least three months until visa expiry).

– Book return flights.

– Travel, health and accident insurance (insurance of at least €30,000) for the Schengen area.

– Identity documents: ID card, household registration book, marriage registration, birth certificate

– Documents proving employment and income.

+ Business owner, legal representative of the enterprise: Business registration, member confirmation, tax payment confirmation of the company (last 3 months), personal account statement (shareholder) and company (business owner) in the last 6 months.

+ Employees: Labor contract, decisions on appointment, reception of personnel, salary confirmation in the last 6 months, account statement in the last 6 months, social insurance.

+ For students: Confirmation of the school’s learning.

+ For retirees: Proof of retirement documents, account statements

+ For foreigners living and working in Vietnam when applying for an Italian visa: Must submit additional work permits, legal stay visas.

– A statement confirming parental authority for minor applicants traveling without parents, accompanied by copies of IDs/passports of both applicants, consent form to be signed at the Visa office of the Embassy.

3. Detailed procedures for Italian visa according to the purpose of entry.

* Italian Visa for Tourism, Visiting Relatives

– Letter of invitation to guarantee (according to the Embassy’s form):

+ From a tour company in the Republic of Italy with legal documents of the tour company.

+ From 1 individual who is a citizen of the Republic of Italy or a foreigner residing long-term in the Republic of Italy: Provide the passport, accommodation of the guarantor; Provide documents proving employment, income, finance, personal account statement of the sponsor.

The invitation must be sent in advance via email to the Ambassador. Visa applications without a pre-emailed invitation will not be accepted.

– Bank guarantee letter.

– Detailed itinerary for the duration of your stay in Italy and Schengen member states (if travelling).

– Financial proof documents: Passbook, bank account statement, balance confirmation, front copy and credit card limit confirmation

– Leave application certified by the company

– Red book and other assets (rental houses, cars)

– Documents as proof of stay in Italy (book hotel).

– Documents proving the relationship between the inviter and the invitee.

* Italian visa for Business purposes.

– The invitation letter is filled in by the Italian company according to the form (see “Standard Form” on the website of the Embassy) stating the purpose and time of the trip.

– The passport/ID of the person signing the invitation.

– Business registration of the inviting company.

– Information about fairs and conferences to participate in (if any).

The above documents must be sent in advance by email to the Ambassador. Italian visa applications without a pre-emailed invitation will not be accepted.

– Documents as proof of stay in Italy (book hotel).

– Business registration of the company in Vietnam – Consular legalization is required

– Confirmation of tax payment of the company in Vietnam.

– Account statement of the company in Vietnam in the last 6 months, personal account statement of the visa applicant.

– Decide on the work of the company whose personnel are invited.

– Documents proving the commercial relationship between the 2 parties.

• Application hours are: 08:30 – 15:00, 2nd to 6th (except public holidays).
• Document return time is from 13:00 to 16:00, 2nd to 6th (except public holidays).

The processing time for Italian visa applications is 15 days from the date the Consulate receives the application (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).

• Nomination letter.
• Latest 6-month payroll or 6-month salary statement.
• Passbook, 6-month card account statement.
• Real estate documents – notarized copies.
• Travel insurance – report when there is a return date.
• Book hotels and airfare of where guests are going.

Application for a tourist Italian visa – package

1. Original passport + notarized copy, 2 photos 4×6 with white background.
2. ID card, household registration – notarized copy of the book.
3. Bank account statement for 6 months.
4. Passbook – notarized copy.
5. Real estate documents – notarized copy.
6. Proof of work: leave application, labor contract, 6-month salary statement (business owner: Business registration certificate – notarized copy, tax payment receipt for the last 6 months, company account statement for the last 6 months – to the date of presentation).
7. Travel insurance: applicable to the guest’s departure and return dates.
8. Invitation letter + scan of the inviter’s passport.
9. Return airfare.

 

Application for Italian visitor visa – package price

☑ Italian invitees:

1. Invitation letter and letter of guarantee
2. Inviter passport.
3. If the inviter pays financially: statement of the inviter’s bank account for 3 months or salary for 3 months, and confirmation of the inviter’s current employment.

☑ Vietnamese:

1. Original passport + full copy.
2. ID card, household registration, marriage registration, birth certificate – notarized copy
3. Red book, passbook and personal bank statement in the last 6 months
4. Labor contract, leave application, payroll for the last 6 months (business owner: Business registration certificate – notarized copy, tax payment receipt for the last 6 months, company account statement for the last 6 months – to the date of presentation)
5. Global travel insurance (based on departure date and snooze date later)
6. Airfare (reservation if any)
7. Proof of relationship between inviter and invitee: photos, documents proving the relationship.
