Guidance on application procedures.

Russian Visa for Tourist purposes.

To apply for a standard visa, the following documents must be provided:

The original confirmation that you will be received as a tourist by a Russian tour operator, registered in the register of tour operators, the original of the travel document.
Hotel booking confirmation with tourist’s full name as well as payment confirmation (for Vietnamese citizens only).
Copy of itinerary (flight details) with confirmation date of departure from Russian Federation. The date of flight details corresponds to the flight details mentioned in a tour confirmation and documentation.
Original passport, must have at least 2 blank pages to apply for a visa and must be valid for a period of 6 months after the visa expires.
The Russian visa application form has been completed, printed and signed directly by the applicant;
4×6 photo with white background.
Original or copy of health insurance, valid on the territory of the Russian Federation and covering the entire duration of the visa

Note – If you are not a Vietnamese citizen, you need to provide the following additional documents:

A permanent residence permit in Vietnam is valid for more than 90 days.

– As a rule, proof for staying in Vietnam can be a visa or a residence card.

For applicants under the age of 18, the visa application should be signed by the parent, accompanied by a parent’s note, a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, and a copy of the parent’s passport and visa.

Russian Visa for Business Purposes.

To apply for a standard, single entry, double entry or multiple entry visa, the following documents must be submitted:

A letter of invitation to enter the Russian Federation or approval of an electronic visa issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs; or:

The decision on the issuance of visas by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia;

Note: In case your invitation is not issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, please apply directly at the Embassy/Consulate.

Original passport, which must have at least 2 blank pages to apply for a visa and must be valid for a period of 6 months after the visa expires.
The completed Russian visa application form, printed and signed directly by the applicant;
4×6 photo with white background, open ear and forehead shot.
A certificate confirming that the foreigner is HIV negative.

The certificate must be completed in Russian or English and is valid for up to 1 month after the examination.

Note – To apply for a 1-year-multiple-entry business visa, EU citizens need to have at least 1 visa (excluding transit visa) used in the previous 12 months. To apply for a 2-5 year multiple-entry visa, EU citizens need to have at least 2 1-year multiple-entry visas within the previous 2 years.

III. Russian Visa Visitor Purpose.

To apply for a single or double entry individual visa, you must provide:

A letter of invitation to enter the Russian Federation or approval of an electronic visa issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation;

Note: In case your invitation is not issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, please apply directly at the Embassy/Consulate.

Original passport, which must have at least 2 blank pages to apply for a visa and must be valid for a period of 6 months after the visa expires.

* If you are not a Vietnamese citizen, you need to provide the following additional documents:

– Original or copy of health insurance, valid on the territory of the Russian Federation and covering the entire duration of the visa (mandatory for citizens of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Israel, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, France, Finland, Czech Republic, Estonia).

– Permanent residence permit in Vietnam is valid for more than 90 days.

– As a rule, proof of stay in Vietnam can be a visa or temporary residence card.

Note – The Embassy and Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Vietnam may request additional documents before issuing a visa, invite you to an interview or extend the processing time for your visa application.

– Payment of consular fees and services will be made at the Visa Application Center.

For applicants under the age of 18, the Russian visa application should be signed by the parent, accompanied by a parent’s note, a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate, and a copy of the parent’s passport and visa.

For Vietnamese, from Binh Dinh onwards, there must be additional confirmation of employment showing position and salary.
