Guidance on application procedures.

1. British Visa for Tourism purposes.

* Applicant procedure:

– Application for short-term visa (complete information, signature – DV made).

– Passport valid for more than 6 months has been signed and has at least 2 blank pages.

Old passport proving previous travel to the UK (previous UK visa) or other countries if applicable.

– Proof of stay of the visa applicant (booking KS, …).

– Copy household registration book, Copy ID card, Copy marriage certificate, Divorce certificate if divorced.

– Documents of ownership of real estate or genuine car (if any).

– Proof of current education (current qualifications-if applicable).

– Proof of current employment, if you are working, submit the Employment Contract, the latest 3-month payroll, the application for leave to travel, if you are the business owner, submit a copy of the Business License and confirmation of tax payment.

– Detailed itinerary (number of departure dates, destination location, accommodation…).

– Account balance confirmation (>$10,000), bank account statement for the last 3 months, copy of bank card if any, photo of ATM card).

– Pay the UK visa fee by paying via bank card (Visa Debit).

* Inviter side procedure (friends, relatives if any):

Letter of invitation from a friend or relative in the UK (stating the guarantor, who paid for the trip and providing sufficient information).

– Proof of the inviter’s status of stay in the UK.

– Valid passport, visa, immigration stamp on the passport, confirmation of the school where you are studying.

– A letter from the Home Office confirming their permission to stay in the UK.

2. British Visa for Business Purposes.

* Applicant procedure:

– Passport valid for more than 6 months and at least 2 blank pages have been signed.

Old passport proving previous travel to the UK or other countries if applicable.

– Proof of stay of the visa applicant (booking KS, …).

– Proof of travel of visa applicant (booking MB ticket).

– Copy household registration book, copy ID card.

– Copy marriage certificate, Divorce decree if divorced.

– Proof of current education (current qualifications).

Proof of employment of the UK visa applicant:

+ If you are working, submit the labor contract, confirm the latest 3-month salary, the company’s business registration.

+ If the guest is the business owner, submit a notarized copy of the business license.

– Bank account statement of the company and of the individual, tax confirmation of the company.

– Decision on appointment of office.

– The original decision of your governing body to dispatch, stating the purpose of the trip and who will pay for the trip. If you are a business owner, submit a detailed statement of your travel plan.

– Global travel health insurance is valid for time during the stay.

* Procedure on the invitation side:

– Letter of invitation from a company or organisation in the UK (stating the details of the inviting and invitee, the purpose of the trip, who paid for the trip and providing details of the travel schedule during the stay), the passport of the person signing the invitation.

– Certificate of Business Registration, Confirmation of tax payment in the last 3 months.

– Evidence of previous meetings or exchanges with the company in the UK (transaction invoices, brand catalogs, contracts between the 2 parties…).

3. UK Visa Visitor Purpose.

* Applicant procedure:

– Passport valid for more than 6 months has been signed, and at least 2 blank pages remain.

Old passport proving previous travel to the UK or other countries (if applicable).

– Two passport-sized photographs (3.5cm x 4.5cm white background). Photos taken must not be older than 6 months.

– Proof of stay of the visa applicant (booking KS, …).

– Copy household registration book, Copy ID card, Copy marriage certificate, Divorce certificate if divorced.

– Documents of ownership of real estate or cars (if any).

– Proof of current education (current qualifications-if applicable).

– Proof of current employment of the UK visa applicant, if you are working, submit the Employment Contract, the last 3 months’ payroll, the application for leave to travel, if you are a business owner, submit a copy of the Business License, confirmation of tax payment,  company account statement.

– Account balance confirmation (>$15,000), bank account statement for the last 6 months, copy of bank card if any, photo of ATM card).

– Other supporting documents for UK visa application (copy): Red book of genuine real estate, official car documents.

– Children: Birth certificate, consent form (if only one parent takes them), Student ID, student confirmation of the school.

* Inviter side procedure (friends, relatives):

– Letter of invitation from a friend or relative in the UK (stating the guarantor, the time of invitation, the address of the invitation, who paid for the trip and providing full information of the inviting party and the invitee).

– Proof of the inviter’s status of stay in the UK.

– Valid passport, visa, page with immigration stamp, confirmation of the school where you are studying.

– A letter from the Home Office confirming their permission to stay in the UK.

– Proof of relationship between invitee and invite: Birth certificate, handwritten letter, email, list of phone call transcripts, joint photos….

Note:

– UK visa application documents must be presented on A4 paper size, the Embassy does not accept faxes, emails…

– The documents must be translated into English and have a notarized seal, the documents are copies must be presented to the original for verification when submitting the application.

4. Working time

– Applicants apply directly at the UK Visa Application Centre at the Embassy in Hanoi

– Visa applications must be submitted no later than 30 days before the intended date of travel.

SELF-SUFFICIENT UK VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Steps to apply for a UK visa

➥ Step 1: prepare documents

Most UK visa applications are the same. It is important that the type of visa you choose will correspond to the application form when submitted. And most self-sufficient UK visa applicants do not have much experience in selecting the appropriate application form. This has a significant impact on the consulate refusing to issue you a visa.

All documents must be translated into English and have a judicial visa stamp.

➥ Step 2: Pay the UK visa service fee

You visit the website of the British consulate.  To register an account, select the type of visa to apply for and pay the fee. Then, be sure to check your email for confirmation from the British consulate.

➥ Step 3: Make an appointment to submit your application

You will apply for a UK Visa at the UK Visa Application Centre (VFS Global), rather than in person at the UK Embassy. And you need to make an appointment in advance. The time to attend the appointment and fingerprint collection at the VFS Center must be accurate. To avoid any mishaps during the registration process, you should bring the following documents:

• Original passport.
• Printout of the online application form and appointment confirmation.
• Receipt of payment of UK visa service fee.
• All required documents as listed below.

Please note that, at the VFS application centre, you also pay a fee.

➥ Step 4: Get a biometric stamp

While submitting your application to VFS, you will take a fingerprint sample. This is also the final step of the UK visa process. VFS will give you an appointment form to collect your results after about 3 weeks.

1. Pension card/ retirement decision/ monthly pension book 2. Pension statement for the last 6 months (if receiving salary through the bank)

IF YOU ARE A STUDENT – STUDENT

3. An application for absence from school certified by the school (if you go for the summer, you do not need to provide it.)

4. Student-student card/ certificate of merit/ transcript

FINANCIAL PROOF DOCUMENTS

1. Copy passbooks with a value of 10,000 USD or 300,000,000 VND or more.

2. Confirm the bank account balance of that passbook

3. Copy the red book or certificate of land use right / or certificate of land inheritance right. (if applicable)

4. Copy of the rental agreement (if any)

5. Certificates of ownership of other assets (if any)
